Jodie and Mom Mom (also known as Mambo these days) finally took me swimming this week. We had a lot of fun. I tried wearing sunglasses, but I liked playing with them better, I even had Mom's for a while. Hopefully we will get to go again.

I decided I wanted to be the letter O for the day. Maybe I can get a gig on Sesame Street singing with Elmo and Big Bird.

Papa Miller and Grandma Jeanette got me a Backyardigans guitar for my birthday. This is me jamming out to Tyrone and Uniquia singing. Mom Mom and Da Da even like strumming a few notes every now and then.

Since I can walk now I can help around the house. As my first chore, besided unloading the dishwasher, I chose to sweep the floors. I loved playing with the broom before I could walk and now it is ten times more fun to actually use it.

I love playing in my new sand box. I don't like being told no. I started throwing the sand in my mouth and Mom Mom wouldn't let me eat it. I kept trying and kept hearing the word no and kept crying. I thought it would taste good!

We just got up for the day. It looks like I am more of a morning person than DaDa. At least we both look good in our white t-shirts.

As you can see I like playing with baggies. I started at home first and them realized Mimi and Gramps had some too. I even tried to get the catfood in some of them, but couldn't get it opened. DaDa just called me a tornado, and I think it seems pretty accurate according to these pictures.

I am now 1!!! I weighed in at 22.12 and was 29 3/4 inches long. The best part of all since turning 1, WALKING!!!!

I played hard the day of the party. I started getting tired and a little cranky before lunch, but my the time I finished my cake and was full of energy. Gramps finally got me to sleep about 4:30. He just wouldn't let fight it anymore. He was going to win the battle and he did. I slept for about 2.5 hours. I guess I really did need to stop and rest for a while.

Jeremy and Theresa got me a bubble machine for my birthday. They let me play with it in the house and I was trying to catch them with my sand rake. Later we played with them outside and watched them go far. They went across the street and down the alley. It was pretty amazing!

Mom Mom and DaDa got me a One-Man band for my birthday. It has a drum, tamborine, bells and a shaker. They all look like bugs. Even the drumsticks are centipedes.

I loved opening my first gift, but then I got preoccupied and Mom Mom and DaDa had to help me with the rest. I even got a musical card to dance for everyone.

I loved my 1st birthday cake. I massaged it before I ate the whole piece. I had green frosting everywhere when I finished.

Luke likes protecting me from the cats, even though the cats, especially Jackson is nicer to me than he is.

I love riding with the windows down and letting the breeze flow through my hair! At least that's what this picture looks like. Really, I had just woken up from a nap and that is how my hair looked.

I found some potting soil and a pot and I was going to plant some flowers, but I couldn't quit playing with the soil.
